SoleTry is building a try-before-you-buy network for sneakers. Smart vending machines in gyms, malls, campuses, and office lobbies let shoppers scan, collect one shoe, and test its fit and comfort for 48 hours.

If it works, the shopper buys the full pair. If it does not, the trial shoe goes back to the machine at no cost under the trial terms. Aggregated wear feedback can help sneaker brands understand sizing and comfort before return rates and excess inventory grow.
